Pieter van Aken, son of Marinus van Aken and Pieternel de Pre, was baptized at Kingston, New York, on Oct 11, 1685. Witnesses were Pieter le Grand and Maritie Hanse.[1]
The names of Pieter and three of his sons appear on the list of the members of the Foot Company of Militia of the Corporation of Kinston (sic), under the command of Capt. Tjrck Van Keuren, in 1738. Listed are Corp'l Marynis Van Aken (Pieter's eldest son), and Peter Van Aken, Jan Van Aken, Petrus Van Aken, and Giedeon Van Aken.[2]

Pieter Van Aken's will was written in February 1750 and proved 16 December 1756. It named his wife "Rugie" and listed sons Eliphas, Marinus, Jan, Cornelis, Gideon and Petrus. He named his wife and his son Eliphas as executors. The will described Peter as "of Bucks Co, Pennsylvania," but it was proved in New York. [11]
Death
He died before 16 December 1756, when his will was proved.
